Mix Food Truck
Showcase website, 84-dish menu and location map
A 100% custom showcase website for a Thai food truck in Geneva: 84-dish menu and locations managed by the client, interactive map, online booking and local SEO.

Background
Mix Food Truck is a Thai food truck based in Geneva that moves between several towns every week. The client had a precise mockup in mind and a very concrete need: a site that makes people hungry, says where to find the truck this week, receives event booking requests, and that he can run himself without a developer.

Goals
Turn the mockup into a warm, fast, well-ranked showcase website: present a complete and appetizing menu, show where and when to find the truck, receive event booking requests, and let the client edit his own dishes, prices and locations from the admin.
- Make people hungry with a complete menu
- Say where to find the truck
- Receive event bookings
- Keep the client autonomous
What we did
A custom site built from the mockup, where the menu and locations are data that the client manages on his own.
- Showcase website coded from scratch from the mockup, responsive
- Identity and visuals: real logo, reworked visuals, real event photos
- In-house Menu plugin: 84 dishes, 8 categories, featured dish, index that follows the reading
- Menu page and homepage carousel fed by the same data source
- In-house Locations plugin: days, places and hours editable in the admin
- Interactive Leaflet map, footer schedule and Google data fed automatically
- Event booking form and newsletter
- SEO (titles, Open Graph, structured data), legal pages, caching and branded maintenance mode

Showcase website coded from scratch from the mockup (WordPress + Elementor with dedicated HTML, CSS and JavaScript), responsive from large screens to phones. Identity and visuals: the truck's real logo, reworked brand visuals, the client's real event photos in the gallery. Dynamic menu: in-house plugin (Menu content type, categories, prices, featured dish) that feeds both the Menu page and the homepage carousel; 84 dishes online across 8 categories, each with its photo, Thai name and French name, and a category index that follows the reading. In-house Locations plugin: days, places, hours and coordinates editable in the admin, which feed the Find us cards, the footer schedule, an interactive Leaflet map (CARTO tiles, hosted on the site) and structured data for Google. Event booking form (Contact Form 7, emails sent to the client) and AJAX newsletter signup. Continuous-scroll carousels of dishes and photos. SEO: page-specific titles, Open Graph, FoodEstablishment structured data with hours generated from the locations, legal pages, dedicated favicon. Performance: page caching and compression, branded maintenance mode with a private preview for the client.

Results
A complete, live showcase website that the client runs on his own: 84 dishes across 8 categories, 5 locations on an interactive map, event booking and newsletter up and running. Measured on the homepage on mobile: Lighthouse SEO 100, Best Practices 100, Accessibility 97, and a server response time of about 0.15 s with cache versus 0.85 s without.
Why it really works
Because a food truck lives on two things: making people hungry and saying where it is. Here, the menu and locations are not fixed text but data that the client manages on his own and that feed the whole site: pages, carousel, map, schedule and Google data. A custom build on a light, fast base, faithful to the mockup, not a filled-in theme.
- A menu and locations that are data, not fixed text
- One source feeds pages, carousel, map, schedule and Google
- A light, fast, well-ranked base
- A client who is autonomous day to day
